JCC educator gathering features Jewish Time Jump: New York

The JCC of New York and the Mandel Center for Jewish Education convened a group of JCC Jewish Educators from around the country in Manhattan on June 8-10.  The JCC featured ConverJent’s Jewish Time Jump: New York. Educators
played through the game on the cloud-sheltered June afternoon exploring Washington Square Park at the turn of the twentieth century through augmented reality photos, digital historic artifacts, and a quest to find stories from Jewish history that have been “lost to time.”

Jewish Time Jump: New York, ConverJent’s digital mobile GPS Augmented Reality Game for teaching history using the iPhone and iPad was nominated for the 2013 Most Innovative Game Award from The 10th Annual Games for Change Festival.
